Using the service
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.

- You may use FaunaFocus only in compliance with applicable laws and these terms.
Your content
- You retain ownership of the photos, notes, and observation content you upload.
- You give us permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service and the features you enable.
- If you choose to publish a public gallery, you authorize us to display the content and profile details you marked as public.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to upload and share your content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.
- Attempt to disrupt, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.
- Use automation or scraping in a way that harms the service or other users.
- Misrepresent wildlife observations, impersonate others, or misuse community-facing features.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party providers, such as Google services, mapping tools, geocoding services, email delivery, or AI providers. Your use of those integrations may also be governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policies.
Availability and backups
FaunaFocus is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. You should keep your own copies of important photos and records; FaunaFocus is not a guaranteed backup service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms are being violated, if the service is being abused, or if continued operation is no longer practical. You may stop using the service at any time.
Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaunaFocus disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the service after the revised terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
